I’ve uploaded the stage photos of Lily’s stage debut in The Seagull to the gallery. Lily’s performance wasn’t as well received after she left audiences ‘disappointed’ with her performance.

“The cast were very professional and the play was really well acted, but sadly I felt that Lily was the weakest link,” said one theatre-goer. She appeared to be very nervous to start with and you could see the pressure is on for her to perform well. Unfortunately her posture was quite wooden, her dialogue seemed quite stilted and her acting was very exaggerated. It was quite disappointing, but it must be hard as everyone is focusing on her.”

The best acting was the worst. Cole was great in Constantin’s embarrassing play, milking its empty excess with a captivating presence which culminated in a series of laughable (in the best possible way) convulsions. She was well-supported by an anxious Constantin, who supplies forgotten lines and fights to silence an unreceptive household audience.
